NetID

Currently, NetID seems to be popping up everywhere! With the new Wi-Fi network, new
students coming to campus, and Brightspace, we are hearing the word “NetID” more in our lives than ever before. Every faculty and staff member have a NetID account and most of the Meredith accounts use your NetID account for login. For example, your Brightspace, MyMeredith, email account, and WebAdvisor all require you to use your NetID account.

Have you ever forgotten your NetID password? Most everyone has forgotten their password at least once! Allowing our computers to save our passwords makes life a lot easier until you need your password and you cannot remember it. Luckily, at Meredith, we have added a tool that will make your life a little easier when you cannot remember your NetID password! If you follow the steps below, you will be able to reset your password yourself, instead of having to call the Help Desk.

Step 1: Go to the URL: netid.meredith.edu

Step 2: Click on the second maroon box that says “Sign in.”

Step 3: Put in your NetID username and password, which are the same as credentials in your email address.

Step 4: You are now on the dashboard page. Click on “contact details” on the top of the page.

Step 5: Add your personal email address, not your Meredith email. Now you have successfully added a personal email address, which means you can now change your password on your own!

If you come across a situation where you need to know your password, but you cannot
remember it, there is a simple way to reset your password online! I included the steps on how to reset your password. Please note that you must have done the above steps to be able to be able to reset your own password.

Step 1: Go to the URL: netid.meredith.edu

Step 2: click on the first maroon box “Self- Service password reset”

Step 3: Verify you are not a robot
