Technology Services has several security projects currently underway that will affect every Meredith issued desktop and laptop. The initial two projects will require approximately an hour service time with your computer.
These two projects will greatly improve the security of your Meredith issued computer:
All computers will be joined to the Meredith active directory environment
The Meredith anti-virus software is changing from GData to Forticlient and will need to be installed
One benefit you will immediately notice is that you will use your NetId password to logon to your computer – one less password to remember.
If you have a laptop, you may bring it by the Help Desk in the Noel House at your earliest convenience.
If you have a desktop, Technology Services will be contacting you to schedule a time for one of our technicians to come update your system.
Before the end of the spring semester:
All Meredith issued computers will need these changes to successfully connect to the Meredith network.
Be on the lookout for additional emails to schedule time to have the updates performed on your computer if you do not bring it in to the Help Desk.
