1. North Carolina Museum of Art
This museum located in Raleigh has a permanent collection of 139 pieces from Europe and America. Not to mention, over 160 acres of fields, woodlands, and creeks to take amazing photos of. Also, the entry of the permanent collection is completely free!

2. Historic Yates Mill County Park
Want a more rustic feel? The Historic Yates Mill County Park offers 174-acre wildlife refuge. This location is an environmental research center in Wake County that was purchased in 1963.

3. North Carolina State Capitol
Originally built in 1840, the State Capitol is a historic landmark that can show your appreciation for the city of oaks! The building is a Greek Revival style and is one of the best preserved building as a national landmark.

4. The Raleigh Rose Garden
The Raleigh Rose Garden is perfect for spring and summer! Right by the Raleigh Little Theater with over 50 types of roses presented by the All American Rose Society. It’s truly of place of vivid color.

5. Fayetteville Street District
A well known location that leads the North Carolina State Capitol is the Fayetteville Street District. It has plenty of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. It has an urban setting that can be easily captured during the day or at night.
