Pandora One Vs Apple Music Vs Spotify

Happy Friday Angels!

As of lately there has been much discussion about which music streaming app will dominate the internet radio market. There are top three contenders: Pandora, Spotify, and Apple Music. Pandora has been around the longest with 15 years of internet radio. Even though that was the first, Apple Music came in strong last year with over 30 million songs available. Which is more than Pandora and about equal with Spotify. If you haven’t heard of any of these internet radio apps, then this post is meant just for you!

Pandora One

As I said above, Pandora has been around for over 15 years. Making the app the “Grandfather of Internet Radio”. On this app you can basically get stations based on genre, artist, or song. With Pandora One, there isn’t a limited number of skips (unlike the regular Pandora). It’s available for devices that are iOS, Android, and other operating systems. Also, it’s $4.99/month. Making it one of the cheaper plans for unlimited skips with no ads. The only downside is that you can’t create your own playlists and it only has 1.5 million songs.

So this is kind of the rookie out of the to
p three internet radio apps. Apple Music came out in late 2016, but it quickly showed that it was a top competitor with Pandora One and Spotify. It has 30 million songs available (wow), unlimited skips, artist playlists, and celebrity-curated radio stations. Don’t have an Apple device? No worries! Apple Music is available for Android devices as well, just download the app from the app store. Lastly, the cost is $9.99/month, but if you’re a student is $4.99/month.

This application is similar to Pandora, but you have the freedom to create your own playlists and listen to other’s playlists. For the regular Spotify you get advertisements that play between a few songs. With Spotify Premium you get no advertisements. unlimited skips of songs, and access to celebrity-curated playlists. The Premium plan also lets you have access to your music collection mobile devices (iOS or Android) and your computer. Another neat feature is an offline download option so you don’t have to use internet for songs. The cost is $9.99/month, but only $4.99/month if you’re a student. Image result for spotify premium

If you prefer to have more control over what you want playing, then I suggest either Spotify Premium or Apple Music. Pandora offers something different too, having more available radio stations. Each app offers a trial period where you can try it out for free, just be sure to cancel it before your get charged!
