There’s no better way to start off the week by learning the basics of editing your Instagram photos. I’m going to list the essentials to know when editing photos

  1. Pick a Good Photo

You can’t expect an amazing picture if your base picture isn’t well lit or in focus! Only pick a photo with the most potential after editing. Editing is supposed to enhance your photos, not change them drastically.

2. Crop it

This tool is perfect for when you want to get rid of the extra parts of your photos that take away from your main point. It’s very simple, all you do is cut down the image from any of the four sides.

3. Brightness/Shadows

Depending on the mood you’re trying to portray in your photo, brightness and shadows can play a major role. Obviously, brightness makes your photo brighter, but there are tools in specializing to brighten the shadows of your photo. 4. Saturation

This tool allows you to change your photo from being gray and dreary to more colorful. Be cautious when using this tool, it can be obvious when you overuse it. 

5. Contrast

This is more used in black and white images, but it can add more definition to any colored pictures. Again, like saturation, it can be overdone easily. A little goes a long way with this tool!Image result for contrast photos before and after

6. Color Balancing

Due to indoor lighting, there can be a yellow or blue cast on photos. The color balancing tool can filter by a correcting color to be sure those casts isn’t showing.
